Course information:

The AHC30916 Certificate III in Landscape Construction is a nationally recognised
qualification covering the skills and knowledge relating to the landscaping
industry such as constructing paving, retaining walls, irrigation, plant selection and
propagation, soil structure and garden bed preparation and planting.
The landscape construction industry strongly affirms that training and assessment
leading to recognition of skills must be undertaken in a real or very closely simulated
workplace environment and this qualification requires all units of competency to be
delivered in this context.
Experienced teachers, who are experts in the field and currently working in the field,
will guide you through the program, which involves practical projects & self-paced
activities. This level of qualification is required for most entry level positions in the
landscaping industry.

Course outcomes:

√ Understand and apply enterprise work health and safety policies and procedures.
√  Set out a site for construction works in accordance with site plans and specifications.
√ Learn how to install surface and subsurface drainage systems.
√  Develop skills and knowledge required to install low and sprinkler volume irrigation systems
√  Learn to construct concrete structures and features as a component of landscape project works.
√  Know how to construct brick structures and features or block structures and features, or both
as a component of a landscaping project.
√  Transport, prepare and apply chemical mixes.
