Important Notice: Integrity of VET Qualifications and ASQA's Regulatory Power

As an RTO committed to the highest standards under the Australian VET Standards 2025, we believe prospective students must be fully informed about the integrity and validity of their qualifications. The national regulator, the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA), maintains robust power to ensure the quality of vocational education and training across Australia.

ASQA’s Authority ASQA has the statutory power to de-register non-compliant RTOs and, critically, to cancel qualifications and/or Statements of Attainment previously issued by those providers. This action is taken when an RTO is found to have failed to comply with the national standards, such as issuing certification without adequate evidence of competency or assessment. A cancelled qualification is no longer a valid, nationally recognised credential.
The Risk of Non-Compliance Choosing a compliant RTO is essential. When an RTO prioritises speed or volume over genuine assessment, students risk having their formal certification revoked, leaving them without the required credentials for employment, licensing, or further study.

A Case Study in Qualification Cancellation: DSA Ventures Pty Ltd (RTO 45442)

The most recent regulatory actions demonstrate the serious implications of RTO non-compliance. Students of DSA Ventures Pty Ltd (trading as Australian Academy of Elite Education, RTO 45442) are currently being impacted by ASQA’s decision to cancel qualifications.

  • The Action: Following a compliance investigation that found the RTO issued qualifications and statements of attainment without adequate assessment and did not ensure students had successfully satisfied all requirements, ASQA cancelled the RTO’s registration (effective December 4, 2024).

  • The Impact: ASQA has taken steps to cancel many qualifications, particularly in the Building and Construction sector, issued by this provider between 20 January 2023 and 3 December 2024. Affected individuals have received a Notice of Intent to Cancel their qualifications.

⚠️ Urgent Advice for NSW Builders with DSA Ventures Qualifications

We are aware of the serious regulatory action being taken by Building Services NSW. If you are a registered builder who received qualifications (such as the CPC40120 Certificate IV in Building and Construction or CPC50220 Diploma of Building and Construction) from DSA Ventures and have been contacted about the cancellation of your builder registration, urgent action is required.

Immediate Steps You Must Take:

1.Check Your USI Transcript: Log in to your Unique Student Identifier (USI) account immediately to view your official VET transcript. This will definitively show whether ASQA has formally cancelled your qualification.

2.Contact Services NSW:

  • If your qualification is marked as cancelled on your USI Transcript, you must seek a valid pathway immediately (see below).
  • If your qualification is NOT marked as cancelled on your USI Transcript, you should reach out to Services NSW immediately to provide this evidence and formally request a review of their decision to cancel your builder registration.

Our Commitment: A Clear Pathway to Valid Certification 🧭

We understand that navigating the Australian VET system can be confusing, especially when faced with the cancellation of a qualification you worked hard to earn.

As a highly compliant RTO, we are ready to assist prospective students and licensed professionals who may have been impacted by the closure or de-registration of other providers. We offer transparent and ethical pathways to ensure your skills and experience are formally recognised and nationally valid.

Your Next Steps for a Valid Qualification:

  1. Explore Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL): If you possess genuine skills and on-the-job experience gained through your previous training, even if the certificate is now invalid, you may not need to start your course from scratch. Our compliance experts can assess your existing knowledge and skills through our rigorous RPL process. We can map your real-world competence against the requirements of the qualification, saving you significant time and cost while ensuring the final certificate we issue is fully compliant.
  2. Credit Transfer & Gap Training: Where a prior qualification or Statement of Attainment is still valid for certain units, we can apply Credit Transfer. For any units where evidence is lacking or deemed invalid, we can tailor a Gap Training program to ensure you are assessed as competent for every requirement of the qualification, providing you with a complete and secure pathway.

Don’t let the non-compliance of others compromise your career.
