How Our First Aid Courses Work
HLTAID011 PROVIDE FIRST AID
Brief
This unit includes the competency for CPR and describes the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to a casualty in line with first aid guidelines determined by the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) and other Australian national peak clinical bodies.
The unit applies to all persons who may be required to provide a first aid response in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.

TME offer 2 delivery options
1. Pre course on line learning follow by 8 hours face to face practical session
2. 2 day full face to face course.
Requirements
Anyone over the age of 16 years is eligible to attend.
Students will need the physical ability to kneel on the floor and perform 2 minutes of uniterrupted CPR
HLTAID009 PROVIDE CARDIOPULMONARY RESUSCITATION
Brief
This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines.
This unit applies to all persons who may be required to provide CPR, in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.

1. 3 hours of face to face practical session and assessment
2. Pre course on line e learning followed by one and half hours face to face practical session .
Requirements

Why Do You Need Your First Aid Certificate
If your job requires you to have first aid certification, it’s not for some arbitrary reason. It’s a requirement because you work where risks and the probability of emergencies cannot be easily dismissed.
What are the requirements for workplaces in terms of first aid training?
First aid equipment, facilities and first aiders must be accessible to workers whenever they work, including those working night shifts or overtime. All workers must be able to access a first aid kit. This will require at least one first aid kit to be provided at their workplace.
How long do first aid courses take
It depends on which first course and delivery option you selected. It can take from half day to 2 days.
How long do CPR certification last
1 year only.
