Developing Leaders in Local Government
A 6 day leadership program designed for experienced Council staﬀ who supervise others in the workplace or who may move into leadership roles in the future. The program is made up of 3 modules focused on leading people and processes within a Local Government environment.

This program introduces occupational health and safety (OHS) legislation. It creates awareness of Council policies and procedures and the responsibilities of all staff members in maintaining a safe work environment.

Working with Interpreters
Council’s operate within a growing multi-cultural society. Communicating with customers of non-English speaking backgrounds can be challenging for many staff. This program focuses on techniques to assist communication with linguistically diverse customers with particular focus on using interpreting services effectively. This workshop is devliver by a qualified trainer and NAATI accredited interpreter. Students have the opportunity to practice working with an interpreter.
